ABOUT CARRIE…

Carrie grew up in Detroit, Michigan a city full of a cultural blend of Motown, Rock, jazz and Blues which has influenced Carrie’s approach to performing and writing. In 1994 she relocated to Arizona where she has performed as a freelance violinist throughout the state. Carrie studied under Frank Spinosa, Professor of Violin, at Arizona State University. She also holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Ottawa University.  Carrie has performed throughout the United States, as well as internationally, and has opened for countless notable musicians and celebrities including Keith Urban, Donna Summer, John Fogerty, Seal, Howie Mandel, Halle Berry, The Kongos,  and many more.

In addition to live performances, she has recorded national commercial spots such as the Arizona Music Project, commissioned by the Arizona Office of Tourism, Catholics Come Home (aired for President Barack Obama at the White House with Pope Benedict), Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), and Grand Canyon University to name a few.

Carrie performs as lead violinist with the internationally renowned electric string quartet, Urban Electra in addition to her solo performances. She is the sole arranger for Urban Electra and scores orchestrations and arrangements for several organizations.

She currenlty lives in Gilbert, Arizona with her husband and two children.

Carrie performs with her modern violin by Albert Topa, electric violin by Yamaha, Zeta, 5-string Aurora acrylic electric violin hand made in Brazil by Mauricio Brazolim, and bow by Coda, and Alex Hendruk.
